Investing in Solutions
Each part of this initiative plays a vital role in creating long-term opportunity so every child in a CISE-supported school can thrive academically, professionally, and personally. Together, these pillars form the foundation for lasting impact:
- Expand High School Scholarships
- Support Educators
- Invest in Safe & Secure Schools
- Build Career & Technical Education (CTE) Programs

Expand High School Scholarships
Why it Matters
For many families in Cincinnati’s inner city, Catholic high school is simply out of reach. Scholarships remove that barrier, opening doors to academic achievement, spiritual development, and a future filled with opportunity.
Our goal is to help every CISE elementary school graduate continue their values-based education at a Catholic high school. By endowing these scholarships and support programs, we can ensure this life-changing opportunity remains available. Over the last four years, the need for CISE scholarships has doubled in both size and impact.
The Impact
- Scholarships can uplift and empower entire families and communities
- A true example: Amirou and his twin sister have been part of the Corryville Catholic community since second grade. Thanks to CISE high school scholarships, both attend Catholic high schools. Amirou attends La Salle High School with the goal of pursuing a college degree in computer science. He’s deeply grateful for the doors this scholarship has opened for him.
Your gift helps more students like Amirou unlock their full potential through a Catholic education
Support Our Educators
Why It Matters
Teachers and principals are at the heart of every strong school. A nationwide teacher shortage makes it increasingly difficult to recruit educators to urban schools, and an expanding pay gap makes it even harder to retain them.
The Impact
“This coming school year is the first in three years that we will be fully staffed. This means so much to our student success. I truly believe that part of the reason we are retaining teachers is because of your financial commitment to keeping them.”
Jen Long - Principal at St. Lawrence
Your support uplifts educators and transforms learning environments across CISE-supported schools.

Invest in Safe & Secure Schools
Why it Matters
Providing students and staff a safe and secure learning environment is a top priority. The funds we raise will play a vital role in enhancing the unique educational experiences offered in CISE-supported schools. CISE will co-invest in a wide variety of renovations and capital improvements with schools and parishes.
The Impact
As one principal shares after CISE funds helped to replace the school’s windows: “The new windows provide more air movement, making our classrooms healthier spaces and also offer egress in an emergency. These windows add to the beauty of our building, and they make our school functionally safer for our students.”
Jack Corey - Principal at St. William
You’re helping create safer and healthier classrooms.

Build Career & Technical Education Programs
Why it Matters
Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs open doors to valuable opportunities for students, offering pathways to certifications, career readiness, and employment that shape tomorrow’s workforce. These in-demand programs will benefit not only our students but also strengthen our communities and the local economy.
Your gift helps build job-ready graduates and a stronger local workforce.

The Time is Now
By providing access to a values-based education and essential resources, we will create pathways out of poverty and help build brighter futures for generations to come.
