By supporting a child’s future and investing in your own, your investment pays off in all the best ways. Because when paying it forward pays back, the rewards are endless.
CISE transforms the lives of thousands of Cincinnati children facing poverty by providing a strong faith-based education in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Our mission is to foster strong values and transform the futures of children in Cincinnati’s inner-city. In addition to excellent academics, the formation of critical values such as responsibility, perseverance, respect, discipline, and cooperation extend far beyond the years of formal education our students receive.
“If you told me in 7th grade that I would receive a full ride to college I would never have believed it!”
Bitanya’s family immigrated to the US in 2007. While attending Holy Family grade school, she received tremendous support as the sole English-speaking person in her household. With the help of a CISE Scholarship, she attended Seton High School, where she founded “The Grateful Foundation,” a nonprofit that raises funds for her village in Ethiopia. Bitanya now attends the University of Cincinnati on a full-ride scholarship, studying marketing.

Our Three Key Pillars
We work to transform the futures of children in Cincinnati’s inner-city by providing access to three key pillars that are vital to breaking the cycle of poverty.
From preschool through high school, CISE students receive a quality faith-based education to achieve a brighter future and better outcomes in life. Many CISE graduates are the first in their family to attend college.
Safe, Nurturing Evironment
CISE-supported schools provide physical, mental, and behavioral health support and a comprehensive range of student services. Our Catholic schools serve and welcome students of all beliefs and backgrounds.
Values for
Life
CISE-supported schools focus on forming the whole student by teaching skills for success in learning and through life. Faith-based values, leadership, teamwork, self-control, and resilience skills are taught and modeled daily.
